men
Hormones aren’t only for women! In all men, there is a gradual decline in hormone production with age.
Andropause
Beginning at age 30, hormone production begins to slow and hormone levels fall by 1-3 % each year until age 40 to 55. At this point, around midlife, men’s testosterone levels fall more rapidly and this steeper decline is referred to as “andropause” – the male equivalent to menopause. Symptoms can include:
fatigue and loss of energy
muscle loss
loss of strength
lack of endurance
weight gain around the mid-abdomen
loss of libido
poor erections
night sweats and sleep problems
irritability
depression
foggy thinking and poor cognitive function
lack of motivation
You’re not “just getting older.”
Oftentimes, when men voice their concern over these symptoms, they are led to believe that each of these symptoms can be chalked up to getting older.
Solutions are rarely offered and symptoms can be quickly dismissed, leaving men feeling discouraged, frustrated, and unmotivated. But men, you don’t have to live with these symptoms!
Hormone replacement in men can have a dramatic effect and greatly improve your quality of life.
With the knowledge that each body is different and symptoms vary from person to person, our Exceed team is positioned to evaluate you, determine whether hormone replacement is necessary and likely to be beneficial, then put you on the correct path to healing.
